External and internal

I mostly write cheats. That's the honest version of what this blog is going to be about, so it might as well be the first thing written down here.

There are two sides to it: external and internal. I'm 16, I'm still learning both, and right now the internal side is the one taking up my time.

External, for a lot of games

#

External means the cheat lives outside the game. It reads memory from another process, works out where the player and the entities are, and draws over the top in its own window. Nothing of mine is ever inside the game, which is why it's the side I'm most comfortable with: it's a read, a translation, and a rectangle on a second layer.

This is what I've done for a lot of games. Each one is a different memory layout, different structures, different amounts of work to find anything useful at all, and the loop never really changes: find the entity list, find the camera, find the matrix, prove it on screen.

Internal, for Fortnite

#

Internal is the other direction. It runs inside the game itself, which means you own the whole engine instead of watching it from the outside, and you pay for that with everything that comes with being inside: injection, hooks, unwinding the SDK, and a much smaller margin for mistakes.

That's what I'm working on at the moment for Fortnite, with kipro. It's the most demanding thing I've touched and most of my progress is slow and unglamorous, but it's the side I actually want to get good at.

That is the whole of it for now. I am in bac pro CIEL, I have been into computers since I was a kid, and none of that has changed. The two sites I built before this, slowdown.lol and SearchX, both have their own post.
